Ok guys, I'm hoping it's just a fluxation, but her temp dropped to 98.7 this afternoon. With constant checking on the first litter, she never got below 98.7. She bounced around up to 99.1 on the first litter. Took it again this evening and she's back up to 99.3 She ate lunch, but not enthusiastically, and she's been nesting a bit. No contractions or heavy panting. Taking this evening to get things together and had to rush to the vet to have oxytocin on hand. This is only day 56, though technically in the safe window, it's still early. Hoping to hold out a few more days. Keep fingers crossed that she waits another day or two!! If not, I might have some news in the morning. I'll definitely keep everyone posted on the happenings!

Still monitoring Rosie. Temp came back and has stayed in the low 99's through the night. This morning it was 99.1. This late in pregnancy for her, the temp should be just a tad higher. No more nesting last night and she slept very soundly. It looks like the puppies are starting to drop, but I know she's got at least one still high up. So, I have time to pick up a few things today, get her groomed up and finish setting up all my things, not just the immediate needs. So, we are in a holding pattern at least for the next 24 hours I think. I'm hoping she'll make it to Saturday at least. But that would be convenient, and she's red, so convenient goes out the window!!

Afternoon temp of 99.3, so well within normal for her. But she's acting more depressed than usual and clinging to her bed pillow. No discharge, but puppies are dropping I think. She's moving very cow hocked in the rear at this point! Definitely not her normal rear movement. She ate lunch lying down today and actually left a mouthful behind. I was hoping once they dropped she would have an easier time of eating! I'm beat doing last minute errands today. I'm hoping for a day's reprieve before any activity!
PS. We've picked out pretty rick rack colors to keep them organized the first few days! Sarah's was very helpful in that department!
